Benefit concert of the Academic Symphony Orchestra Munich

ASO Munich – Messa da Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi

Post 12/2016: That Academic Symphony Orchestra Munich (ASO), long-standing culture partner of KulturRaum München, organized a benefit concert on December 2nd and thus supported the work of the non-profit association.
The Verdi Requiem is a central part of the orchestral repertoire. Together with the Philharmonic Choir Fürstenfeld has performed the ASO Giuseppe Verdi's sacred masterpiece many times in the monastery churches of Fürstenfeldbruck and Benediktbeuern. Both ensembles and the Munich Cathedral Choir were all the more pleased to be able to bring the operatic music closer to the audience in Munich's Herkulessaal for the first time.

Verdi Requiem on December 2nd, 2016 – Thank you very much for the benefit evening

Dear Peter Fohrwikl, dear Carolin Nordmeyer, dear musicians of the ASO Munich,
We would like to thank you on behalf of the KulturRaum München for this wonderful evening on December 2nd. The Herkulessaal was an extraordinarily beautiful setting for the powerful Verdi Requiem, which you made possible for us. Many thanks also to the Munich Cathedral Choir and the Philharmonic Choir Fürstenfeld.
We had consistently very positive feedback from visitors. The group participants from our two invited social institutions (H-Team and Altenservicezentrum Sendling) also thanked us in writing for this extraordinary evening. We are happy to pass this on to you.
Of course we are very impressed by the large amount of donations *) that our association has received through your commitment. Thank you very much for that. (...)
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and some relaxing holidays over the New Year.

Live Culture!
Sabine Ruchlinski, Sophie Marshall, Katharina Maurer and Nikolaus Schön & the KulturRaum Munich team

*) The net proceeds of almost €5.000 were rounded up to exactly €5.000 by those responsible for the orchestra.
