Our favorite CultureWishTree will make children shine again this year. Because with one Online donation or on real tree at the Schwabing Christmas market you can fulfill cultural and leisure experiences for children from low-income families.
Joint activities are unaffordable for many families, especially in the current situation. That's why we're back at numerous social facilities collected wishes written on hearts from our network.
Catherine Bierner works as Music teacher at the Refugio Kunstwerkstatt Munich and says: "Hearts that are designed as small works of art and transformed into a ticket - what a beautiful idea. Many of the children painted, made handicrafts and decorated to be able to be part of the tree with a wish. Every cultural experience, be it music, theatre, museum or cinema, is a break from everyday life. A little journey away from the traumatic experiences, the difficult life situation and cramped living conditions and a rarity in everyday family life. Thanks to the KulturWunschBaum we can make this joy possible for many children and their families and go on an excursion together as a group. Culture can enchant children in such a way that they remember a performance, circus performance or musical experience for a long time and treasure what they have experienced.”
This year are 850 wishes in the genres of theatre, concert, cinema, museum, sport and zoo got together. The wishing hearts can online be plucked and fulfilled. In addition, after a two-year break, there is one again real tree with hearts at the Schwabinger Christmas market on the Münchner Freiheit.

Another innovation this year is the possibility of cashless donations to the KulturWunschBaum in Schwabing. On the Advent weekends, KulturRaum employees will be there SumUp card terminals on site. This makes it even easier for those willing to donate.
A child's Christmas wish is hidden behind every heart. We also take care of the wishes fulfilled by donation, lovingly pack them and pass them on.
