Inclusion in Munich

On behalf of the Munich Cultural Department, we have developed a website that provides information about the accessibility of Munich's cultural sites. This measure was implemented as part of the second action plan for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the City of Munich. The page www.kultur-sperrfrei-muenchen.de is intended to make it easier for people with disabilities to plan and visit cultural events in our city. Because such a cultural visit is often associated with many uncertainties. What kind of building can I expect? How big are the toilets, what is the floor like? Is on-site support possible? Are there subtitles?

Such information is below www.kultur-sperrfrei-muenchen.de listed.

Information on the accessibility of cultural sites

With culture barrier-free Munich we bundle all information about barrier-free cultural places in Munich. To do this, we assessed Munich venues for their accessibility for people in wheelchairs, people with walking disabilities, the deaf, hearing-impaired, blind, visually impaired, people with learning difficulties and people with mental and emotional disabilities.

The culture barrier-free Munich website works in close cooperation with the cbf – Club for the Disabled and their Friends eV developed. The site offers an information platform on the accessibility of 250 cultural locations in the city. We regularly add and update the information about the individual cultural locations on the website.
