KulturWunschNest – Our Easter campaign for seniors with a small pension

KulturRaum München is actively fighting the challenges of old-age poverty in Munich and is launching a special one Easter campaign for seniors with low incomes. Under the motto “Together for more joy in life in old age” We are once again launching a fundraising campaign aimed at fulfilling the cultural and leisure needs of older people.

Anyone interested can take part at www.kulturraum-muenchen.de/kulturwunschnest.

Behind each virtual Easter egg is the name, age and wish of a person over 60 who is affected by financial restrictions in old age. The range of wishes extends from a visit to the zoo to classical concerts to an entertaining comedy. Through generous donations, citizens have the wonderful opportunity to make a concrete contribution to improving the quality of life of older people in Munich. Donations will be accepted until Easter Monday, April 1, 2024, accepted.

The 120 very personal wishes were with clients of the Elderly Service Centers Isarvorstadt (Caritas) and Old Town (Workers' Samaritan Association) collected. In close cooperation with social partners, we enable needs-oriented cultural offerings for financially disadvantaged seniors in the city.

Donations received beyond this amount will all be used for cultural wishes Seniors used, which at KulturRaum Munich as cultural guests are logged in.

The diversity of wishes in the KulturWunschNest reflects the different interests and preferences of the seniors concerned, meaning that the campaign covers a wide range of cultural experiences and leisure activities.
