"Simmering in Sendling" - We celebrated our 10th anniversary with an Austropop concert

On July 20th, the penultimate evening of the District week Sendling-Westpark, gathered around 500 Austropop fans on Luise-Kiesselbach-Platz for a musical trip to Simmering, the 11th district of Vienna. Under the title "Simmering in Sendling" gave Andreas Bittl (accordion, electric bass) and Andrew Stauber (Guitar, E-Bass) snappy songs from the Alpine Republic to the best. Well-known hits like Rainhard Fendrichs Strada del Sole or Hubert von Goisern Brenna is doing well encouraged the spectators to teeter and sing along. At this Gaudi, "the two Andis" of Wolfgang Kotsowilis Rhythmically supported on the drums. But before the red-white-red musical fireworks were ignited, Chrisa Lazariotou (singing) and Abathar kmash (oud) from Ogaro ensemble the spectators with oriental sounds from the east to the Austrian capital.

The evening was moderated by our Patron Amelie Diana, who led the audience through the program in a charming and humorous way. When Amelie asked what he associated with Vienna, Bittl replied that he had never been called a "full suitcase" more amiably than in the Austrian capital.

After a short break, things continued a little more contemplatively. Three volunteers carried Quotations from culture guests in front. The great appreciation and gratitude of the culture guests for what the culture room had to offer was expressed.

At our birthday concert, a music.on.site Appearance of course not missing. Led by Andrea Pancur and Ian Chapman the choir performed the song "Bologna" by the Viennese band Wanda, among other things, and thus contributed young Austropop of the present.
