Our idea is simple yet powerful: At a time when shared cultural and leisure experiences are unaffordable for many, we collect the heartfelt wishes of children and seniors affected by poverty.

With our Culture Wish campaigns, you can easily give joy: Fulfill the cultural wishes of people who otherwise couldn't afford a visit to the cinema, a concert, or a museum.

CultureWishTree – our Christmas campaign for children

Laughing at a children's theater, marveling at circus performers, or strolling through the zoo? Many children in Munich don't experience these things because they don't have the money.

That's why we collect around 1.000 wishes from children in social institutions in the cultural and leisure sectors every year. Become a gift giver and be part of this Christmas campaign and fulfill a true wish. With an online donation or a donation at the real tree, you can give children unforgettable cultural and leisure experiences.

How our Culture Wish Tree works

Every year from the end of November, our Culture Wish Tree is available online. There, you can select a personal wish and make it come true with an online donation.

KulturWunschNest – our Easter campaign for seniors

With our Easter campaign, we want to fulfill the wishes of older people in Munich who are affected by old-age poverty – from visits to the theater to trips to the zoo.

In Munich, around a quarter of seniors live below the poverty line—a number that continues to grow due to rising living costs and insecure employment histories. Poverty in old age often means social isolation, as cultural participation simply becomes too expensive.

This is how our Culture Wish Nest works

Every year, we collect around 200 cultural and leisure wishes from seniors on low pensions. These can be fulfilled in the run-up to Easter in the virtual Culture Wish Nest. There, you can select a personal wish and make it come true directly with an online donation. Your donation enables seniors to enjoy unforgettable cultural and leisure experiences. Whether it's a concert, a museum visit, or an annual ticket—there's a personal story behind every wish.
