100.000 moments of happiness – the panel event

Recent research results indicate that friendships have a very large influence on health, according to Prof. Dr. Brieger at our panel discussion last week. We think so too - that's why we always arrange two tickets for our culture guests so that they can invite a friend. But not only friendships, but also cultural experiences affect health promoting out of. Low-income people have higher health risks. At the same time, access to cultural offerings is particularly difficult for them due to their small budget.

Moderator Alex Rühle from the SZ asked the podium many interesting questions that need to be asked in this context: How many people in Munich are poor? And what exactly are we talking about when we talk about poverty? What is the connection between health and social participation? How can a cultural visit help to overcome the isolation that often accompanies precarious living conditions? What could politics do to enable more participation? Reach more people?

The panel discussion showed us that we are on the right track with our work. We have already brokered 100.000 tickets and hopefully made just as many moments of happiness possible. What we plan to do now: to create even more opportunities for encounters and exchange. Then Experiencing culture together is very healthy!
