Founding and organization of KulturRaum Munich
The non-profit association KulturRaum München eV was founded on February 15, 2011 and ticket distribution began in October 2011. A newspaper article about the Berlin Cultural Lodge in November 2010 provided the impetus. Even in a wealthy city like Munich, the club's founders Sabine Ruchlinski and Monika Eberl wanted to enable people with low incomes to visit culture based on this model. The idea comes from Marburg. The first cultural lodge was founded here. There are now Federal Association for Cultural Participation eV, which also includes KulturRaum München and which we provide organizational support for.
The organization is made up of a large group of volunteers, the sponsors, the full-time team in the office and the board.
