Visit of the volunteers in antiquity

The Collection of antiquities and the Glyptothek on Munich's Königsplatz are among the leading international museums for ancient art. Greek, Roman and Etruscan masterpieces can be experienced here in a quality and abundance that can only be found in a few other places in the world.

dr Markus Löx is curator of the Glyptothek and has our volunteers invited to a guided tour of both houses.

For those who didn't know: The word "Glyptothek" is an artificial word, formed from the ancient Greek words "glyphein" (chisel) and "theke" (storage) and describes a storage place for sculptures.

We are particularly pleased that our culture guests can now enjoy these works of art on a regular basis.
