The KulturWunschBaum team would like to thank all donors!

On Sunday, December 22nd, our wishing tree campaign took place at the Schwabing Christmas market over. In contrast to the last two years, there were no gifts in kind this year, instead wishing hearts with tickets for cultural events hung on the KulturWunschBaum. The wishes came from children and adults social facilitieswho cooperate with the KulturRaum and those who are registered with us culturechildren and cultureguests.

After three weeks at the Schwabing Christmas market, almost 500 wishes from young and old Munich residents were fulfilled. In addition to fulfilling wishes for small and large cultural guests, we were also able to collect €3.000 in cash donations.

We would like to thank all the hard-working donors who fulfilled the wishes of our wishing tree and sometimes also wrote very personal Christmas cards and handed in small packages.

The visitors to the Schwabing Christmas market made many Munich residents with low incomes happy again this year. After Christmas, you can once again go to the cinema, the opera, the swimming pool or the theater with a companion. By attending a cultural event, they are involved in the cultural life of the city and can spend their free time in a way that is quite normal for more affluent residents of Munich.

Our thanks also go to the team at Schwabing Christmas market, which created the wishing tree and has entrusted its implementation to us for the third year in a row. We thank you for the great support. Last but not least, a big thank you to all volunteers, without whom our KulturWunschBaum campaign would not have been possible.

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and will be back for you from January 7th, 2020!
